My love affair with photography began as a teenager, but working as an engineer through my career, I had no time to become a serious photographer until after I retired to Naples in 1997.
Since 2008, several of my photos hung in various juried exhibits, including several at the Marco Island Center for the Arts, at Camera USA – 2014, and also two prior, and a current exhibit juried by Clyde Butcher at Rookery Bay (opening 1/29/2015) and more recently at various exhibits at the Von Liebig Gallery of the Naples Art Association.
Strongly believing in the principle that teaching enhances learning, I taught basic and advanced Photoshop editing techniques at the FGCU Renaissance Academy and at the Photography Institute of Naples. I continue my learning experience at various seminars, webinars and workshops.
As a photographer, I capture scenes or subjects which give me visual joy, or impress me otherwise. My photographic goal is to captivate viewers by evoking feelings, emotions, and impressions similar to that which inspired me to capture and to process my photograph. What drives me, is the challenge of reaching that goal.
